I'm also interested in the edger function. I have a small garden (community garden with no access to electricity) that I want the trimmer funtion for. But I want the edger function for the home sidewalk (about 50 linear feet). Did you test the edger and can you give me any more insight into the whole unit? I've read personal reviews about shoddy workmanship and poor battery life that has me a little concerned. Thanks Robert
