A Pennsylvania couple with a love for hunting and wide open spaces, Dale and Meg have followed their passion for the outdoors both near and far, and now it has brought them to the solitude of the New Mexico countryside. With thoughts of building an impressive home for retirement, Meg and Dale researched log home building companies that could design them a robust handcrafted house to match their active lifestyle.
What drew the couple to PrecisionCraft was its Total Home Solution that allowed them to take leading roles in their project while still having skilled and experienced professionals guide them throughout the process.
Beginning their project plans in early 2010, PrecisionCraft’s Mountain Architects designed and rendered a beautiful post and beam home of handcrafted logs, based off The Huntington floor plan concept.
After months of job prep that included: design, handcrafting the logs at the plant, acquiring a land permit, excavating the land and laying in the foundation, Dale and Meg’s log frame installation began in October of 2011.
Now, as 2012 is coming into full swing, the dry-in stage of their project has begun. With a completion time set for June, Dale and Meg have made plans to caravan down with family and friends as they make the transition from their home in Pennsylvania to the wide open spaces of their 10 acres in the midst of New Mexico.
Stay tuned for final stage photos of Dale and Meg’s log home, coming this summer.
