Enjoy the last days of the summer, while it’s still hot. Sadly, I have spent a total of about 10 hours in the sun, and this apparently was one of the best weather summers we have had. Agggh, I envy all of you who had the summer off, including my sister-in-law who is a teacher. Anyway, since I have this weekend — and Monday — off, I will plan a small gathering and host a wine party. This means, of course, that my hand-painted wine glasses will come off the shelves. My sister hand painted them with flowers in blue and yellow, and they are gorgeous. Other wine glasses I like are listed below along with a few accessories. Ingredients

• 3 eggs

• 3 egg yolks

• 3/4 cup (150 grams) sugar

• 1/3 cup (100 grams) apricot puree

• 2 cups (450 ml) heavy cream, whipped to soft peaks

• 1 1/2 cups (150 grams) raspberries

• 1 tbsp sugar

Directions
1 Whip the heavy cream to soft peaks and keep it in the refrigerator until ready to use.

2 Puree the raspberries and the sugar and set them aside.

3 Place the eggs, egg yolks and sugar in the bowl of an electric stand mixer. Place the bowl over a water bath and whip the eggs and sugar mixture for about 5 minutes until they thicken. Transfer the bowl to the mixer and continue whipping in high speed until the eggs have cooled. It will be thick. Read more…

Theo Kamecke has taken the common circuit board to great new heights with this stunning collection of furniture pieces. He’s made a series of incredible boxes and chests made from reclaimed circuit boards, and they have already sold to people like Aliens-creator HR Giger and Avatar director James Cameron.

“Either you get it or you don’t, either you like it or you don’t,” Kamecke explains. “I like to think that I am trying to make something comfortable and beautiful,” explains Kamecke, who uses vintage boards from the 60s. “You don’t need to understand much about computers to appreciate this.”
